2013 Water Festival for Primary Schools & Project H20 Competition
Partnering PUB, our national water agency, Gan Eng Seng Primary School led and hosted the 2013 Water Festival for Primary Schools & Project H20 Competition. A total of 32 teams from 32 primary schools participated this year. The final was held on Friday 5 July, where 12 finalists showcased their winning projects. Sponsors and partners also put up showcase booths.
The Guest-of-Honour, Mayor Mr Sam Tan, our Superintendent, Mdm Lee Tee Choon, Director of 3P Network, PUB, Mr George Madhaven and our Principal, Mrs Aw launched the event. PUB’s Water Wally brought much joy and smiles to everyone. Our Mayor presented the awards to the top 12 finalists (Top 3 from every schools’ zone) and to the sponsors and partners. The Chief Executive of PUB, RADM (NS) Mr Chew Mun Leong presented the Special Categories Award to 3 schools while our Principal Mrs Aw presented Certificates of Participation to all participating schools.
All guests and pupils also joined Shuqun Primary School’s in their Gyomi Water Dance. Together with our special group of Primary 3 dancers, our Brass Band and Choir performed for our guests at this special event. Pupils were also engaged in a mass dance activity during the break at our Kinect Station in our school canteen. It was a very meaningful and successful afternoon of learning together.
